Production of Isoamylase from Rhizopus oryzae in Submerged Fermentation
This work mainly focus on factors relevant for improvement of enzyme hydrolysis by using Rhizopus oryzae MTCC 9642 in submerged fermentation. Several cultural conditions were examined to access their effect in optimizing enzyme production. The Rhizopus oryzae PR7 MTCC 9642 showed best growth at 28°C within a broad pH range of 6.0 to 10.0 with an optimal temperature and pH of isoamylase synthesi...

Aspergillus oryzae glucoamylases encoded by glaA and glaB, and Rhizopus oryzae glucoamylase, were displayed on the cell surface of sake yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae GRI-117-UK and laboratory yeast S. cerevisiae MT8-1. Among constructed transformants, GRI-117-UK/pUDGAA, displaying glaA glucoamylase, produced the most ethanol from liquefied starch, although MT8-1/pUDGAR, displaying R. oryzae gl...
A comparison on Lipase Production from Soybean meal and Sugarcane Bagasse in Solid State Fermentation using Rhizopus oryzae
In this study, solid-state fermentation of two types of agricultural residues/products for lipase production in a tray-bioreactor was investigated. Rhizopus oryzae was used as a potential fungus strain and two types of agricultural residues including soybean meal and sugarcane bagasse were utilized as substrate. Fermentation was carried out in two different operational conditions: one with cont...
PRODUCTION OF BETA-GALACTOSIDASE IN SUBMERGED MEDIA BY ASPERGILLUS ORYZAE, PTCC 5 163
Different compositions of liquid media were used for their efficacy in the production of beta-galactosidase by Aspergillus oryzae in submerged fermentation. Enzyme production was improved by switching from lactose-based media to soybean meal- and wheat bran-based media. Further improvement was made when the soybean meal medium was supplemented with sodium nitrate and magnesium sulfate. Res...
